How we use your informationYour email is used for account verification, password resets, and occasional notifications about replies or community events you follow. Post content is displayed publicly in the forum as you intend. Technical data helps us diagnose server issues, prevent spam accounts, and improve navigation. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising profiles.
Cookies and analyticsFabWix uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences like thread view density. We run privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and track which guides are popular; these reports never include your name or email. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some forum features may not work correctly without them.
Third-party servicesOur hosting provider stores data on servers located in India. We use a form delivery service to route contact messages to info@fabwix.com and a transactional email service for account notifications. These processors act only on our instructions and are bound by data protection agreements. We do not share member lists with any marketplace or tool vendor.
Your rightsYou may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask for corrections, or ask us to delete your account and associated posts. To exercise these rights, email info@fabwix.com with the subject line "Privacy Request". We respond within 30 days. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time by clearing your browser settings.
Data retentionAccount profiles remain active until you request deletion. Posts and direct messages are kept as long as your account exists, plus a 90-day backup window. Analytics logs are anonymized after 14 months. If you close your account, your authored posts are reassigned to a "former member" label rather than removed, preserving thread context for other makers.
No misleading practicesFabWix Forum does not use fake urgency, fabricated endorsements, or impersonate brands. We clearly label sponsored threads and vendor marketplace posts. Community moderators are volunteers who identify themselves by real names. We do not guarantee specific print quality, machine performance, or project outcomes; all advice is shared by members based on their own workshop experience.
