We host threads on 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC routing, electronics tinkering, and material selection. Members can share build logs, ask troubleshooting questions, post in the used-equipment marketplace, and organize local meetups. Access to reading and posting is free, but we may introduce moderated sections or verified-maker badges later to keep quality high.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you post, including calibration settings, tool reviews, and marketplace listings. Do not share dangerous or misleading fabrication advice, and always include proper safety warnings when discussing cutting, routing, or high-temperature processes. Respect other members' work and intellectual property — if you post a design or photo, you confirm you have the right to share it. We expect civil discussion; harassment, spam, and deceptive listings will lead to removal.
Used equipment listings must describe the item honestly, including condition, age, and any known faults. Transactions happen directly between buyers and sellers; FabWix is not a party to those deals and does not handle payments or shipping. Meetups are organized by volunteers. When you attend, you follow the host's safety instructions and take responsibility for your own tools and materials. Report any unsafe or unfair behavior to the moderators.
FabWix provides a venue for discussion but does not verify every tip, review, or listing. We are not liable for damage to equipment, personal injury, or financial loss that results from following advice found on the forum. Always test new settings on scrap material first, and consult the manufacturer's documentation for your specific machine. The marketplace is user-run; we cannot guarantee the condition of second-hand tools or the reliability of sellers.
We may remove content that violates these terms, including unsafe instructions, duplicate spam, or listings for prohibited items. Accounts that repeatedly break the rules may be suspended or permanently banned. If you want to leave, you can delete your posts and close your account at any time by contacting us. We retain backups for a short period for technical reasons, but your content will no longer be visible.
